Not to bad at all I thought Shinkaruk would be first even though he got drafted later |

Horvat is much safer was my reasoning. Also if he can build on that monster playoff performance, yikes. They could have a really good player. |

Horvat will get to play with McCarron, so there's no way that he won't dominate this season.
I'm still waiting for the Yotes'. |

How well do they dive?
Great blog, Frenchie. All your prospect writeups have been excellent.
Can't say I agree on 8-10, though. Maybe McNally, but I'd have Hutton, Mallet, Blomstrand, and Andersson in the mix instead. |

I was shocked when that trade happened I was ready for us to draft that Russian as he fell into our laps then we trade the pick and i was in shock it took a while for me to realize it was a great trade. I thought they had for sure traded up to take the Russian and this was before the KOvy thing so i was pumped to see him play with kovy lol |

McCarron is the deal breaker on him dominating? Knights have like 10 top 6 forwards on their team already. Besides, Bo would dominate despite who he plays with. |

Yes. If McCarron gets angry and decides to smash Bo... |

Cant wait to see what he brings this year. Looking forward to seeing him and platzer in a bigger role. Not to mention all the 94s they have this year.
Both broadhurst and griffith are leaving right? theyre 93s and and are drafted so i would assume so. |

well by that logic, not having McCaron at all would let Bo dominate. So he would dominate even if McCaron wasnt coming to the knights |

Horvat better be good......after they traded their franchise goalie for him.
After that....not a lot there.
I rank them down there with San Jose, Calgary and Montreal. - stormey

He knows how to skate, problem is he's not focused on skating, he's always looking for people to fight. |

Definitely a reach for the 2nd round, but he's got a nice mix of size, grit, speed, and skill.
I think they're hoping he could be a Burrows-type late bloomer, so I can understand your sentiment |

Guys like Shinkaruk fall in the draft because of their size, it's not right but it seems to happen every year. But the teams that are smart enough to see through a players lack of height tend to benefit in the end.
Look at Chicago in 2012, a lot of scouts had Teravainen in the top 5 but he fell to the Blackhawks at 18 because of his size (5'11'', same as Shinkaruk). The kid appears to be the real deal and has been lighting it up for Team Finland this summer.
